How to take/dosage

One tablet daily for children over 5 years of age or adult should be taken with food. It is not formulated for use in children under 5 years old.

Possible side effects

When taken as intended, multivitamins and minerals supplements are not expected to initiate any serious side effects. Less severe side effects may include:

  • Upset stomach
  • Headache
  • Unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth.

Some side effects have been found with specific vitamins & minerals, but at level considerably higher than those in this supplement. Iron has been associated with GI track intolerance in some individuals. Diarrhea may occasionally occur during treatment with beta carotene. The skin may experience a slightly yellow discoloration during the treatment with beta carotene & iron. The major side effects of vit-A are reversible. Vitamin C and vitamin E may cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal disturbances.


  • If you are taking a bisphosphonate , take this tablet at least 2 hours after you take the bisphosphonate.
  • If you are also taking a quinolone antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or tetracycline ask your doctor or pharmacist how to take them with this supplement.
  • It is not suggested for patients undertaking treatment with levodopa. Pyridoxine of this tablet may decrease the effectiveness of levodopa. 

Safety concerns

This product is not recommended for patients with known hypersensitivity or allergies to any of the ingredients of the supplement. Long term administration of high levels of vitamin-A may increase the threat of osteoporosis in women with postmenopausal. During the 1st trimester of pregnancy, suggested daily dose of the tablet should not be exceeded. Because larger doses of Vitamin-A may be teratogenic. Supplemental vitamins & minerals tablet should not be prescribed for patients with haemochromatosis or Wilson’s disease. Excessive doses of vitamin A and D can lead to hypervitaminosis. 

Things to note

Never use more than the suggested dose of multivitamins & minerals. Avoid taking more than one vitamin & mineral tablet at the same time. Taking similar multivitamins & minerals products together can cause a vitamin overdose as well as serious side effects. Minerals taken in bulky doses can cause certain side effects such as increased urination, tooth staining, stomach bleeding, uneven heart rate, muscle weakness, confusion or limp feeling. Keep in a dry and cool place for higher protection from sun light and moisture. Keep the container strongly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
